I use to love when the New Near would ring in.
Trying to stay up late to scream, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!" with my friends.
Someone would always fall asleep and I felt that it was my job to wake them. After all, no one should sleep through celebrating the year's end and the past slipping away; while others shout joyously for a chance of 365 new days to start over.
In the past, like many Americans, I would make the same old promises to myself; exercise more, drink more water, and spend more time with my family. This year I plan to make promises that will make a difference. Not promises that revolve around me and my world, but those that will change the world.
PCF was started from the vision of making the lives of children better. Going forward we have to work harder than ever to make this happen.
So please join with me and let's ring in the New Near together.
