Questions and Answers
Here are some of our frequently asked questions:
Q; Who is Precious Child Foundation?
A: We are a local 501(c)3, based out of Tulsa, OK. Our focus is to enrich the lives of children no matter where they live.
Q: What work have you done?
A: Initially, our work has been primarily local. We have provided grants for kids to attend camps, taken food to local families in need, and provided meals for our local Ronald McDonald House. Our work now includes our annual Walk For Water, which raises money for clean water wells in Ghana. We recently partnered with The Haskey Project to help provide the lunches for the children.
Q: How do I give?
A: You may donate on-line or by mail. Just see our 'Donate' page for more information.
Q: Are my donations tax deductible?
A: Yes, all monies received are tax deductible as long as no items or merchandise is (was) exchanged. If you make a cash donation, it is tax deductible.
Q: How much of the money goes to your causes?
A: 100% of our donations that come in for specific projects go to that cause. We do not take any percentage to cover our expenses from project donation money. We use other donations to help cover minor monthly expenses.
Q; How do you pick your projects?
A: When a need is identified, it goes before current board members who then decide based upon need and funds that are available (or will need to be raised).
Q: Can I volunteer to help?
A: Yes! We have opportunities throughout the year to volunteer. Completion of all necessary volunteer paperwork is required.
Q: Why do you only do clean water wells in Ghana?
A: Currently this is where we've helped with the installation of clean water wells. We have worked with people whom we trust to ensure the wells are properly completed and will be maintained for years to come. We have future plans to help others in different parts of the world.
