As we break into the warmer months of the year, many of us are starting to enjoy ice cold drinks and ice cream. Many of us will walk to our refrigerator in our homes to get the refreshment we are seeking. It's because of amazing supporters like you that many more people will no longer have to walk a long distance to their water source.
We at Precious Child Foundation would like to take this moment to say a huge THANK YOU! The two water wells for Touch A Life Foundation are going in to provide clean water, not only for children who have been rescued from the fishing slave industries, but for outside communities as well. It was no small task, and we could not have accomplished it on or own, but when all was said and done, we raised $9,000.00 from our Walk for Water event! I am humbled by the participation of others to help us, and the Touch A Life Foundation sends their heartfelt thanks as well. We will continue to keep you updated as we hear about the progress on the well installations over the next few months.
Walk for Water 2013 Update
The first clean water well is in progress! Touch A Life has begun the process for the first well. The monies raised not only helped the covers completion, but it helped put in some awesome filtration needed for the well.
Our goal for Walk for Water 2013 was to raise $10,000. This amount would provide two clean water wells for Touch A Life, another 501(c)3 organization. We want to thank everyone who came out and walked, donated, and/or helped us spread the word about Walk for Water 2013.
Don't forget to check out our Walk of Fame page. It lists the names of the brave people who challenged themselves to walk with the five gallon bucket and made it through the entire 5K. Some even did it Ghanaian style with the bucket on their head!
