The Precious Child Foundation has been waiting for the right time to spread its wings, and we are happy to announce that a new opportunity is here! The Haskey Project Day Center is a schooling facility for 16 children with special needs. We recently learned about this amazing care center that reaches out to some of Ghana’s most vulnerable people.
Picture
Unlike some special needs facilities in many third world countries, the children do not live on the premises. They attend during the day, but go home at night and on weekends to be with their families. In the recent past, these children would have been very misunderstood, and at times, thought to be a sign of evil, but the Haskey Project is changing the way the communities see these special ones. They are empowering their families by providing necessary support and special needs education, empowering them to care for these children more independently.

We loved learning how these families are raising and keeping their children. Most children in third world countries are in some type of children’s home due to poverty and lack of food and resources. The fact that we will be able to help and enable these families to stay together is very important to all of us here at the Precious Child Foundation.

The school currently provides lunch for the children, but our goal is to provide them with breakfast, lunch, and clean water packets each day. For only $25 a month, or $300 a year, you can help give meals and water to these children in need. Your support can be given monthly, with the convenience of automatic payments, or you may give annually if you prefer. If you’d like to make a one-time gift, we are always appreciative! Remember, all support and donations are tax deductible.

Wow, this was a cool and helpful read! I'm actually thrilled to know that people are still helping those children who deserves so much more. $25 a month, or $300 a year, is something most of us earn in a month, so helping them even just for a month is already a huge thing. I hope others who are quite more blessed that the others could help donate more. Thank you so much for this article and I'll make sure to share this a lot on Facebook and hopefully I get a lot of help. Have a great day!

My name is Johanna, I am from Germany and I worked with Haskey Project for 9 month in 2013/14 back when we started to take care of the first kids. This project and especially the precious and amazing children they are taking care of are still so dear to me... These kids and their families deserve all the support they can get to stand a chance for a good life as part of the society they live in and not be excluded from it.

I am very grateful to see that you got to know about the project and are willing to support them. May God bless you for this effort!
Thank you and all the best,
Johanna

To be honest, I am a huge fan of those people who are engaging themselves in this kind of activities. I now really believe that small things can really create a huge impact. Others might see this as nothing, but for the locals of Ghana, this might be their everything. When finish my studies, I would also want to things like this. I would want to volunteer in this kind of activity. I hope I can help a lot of people too!

My parents also volunteer to this kind of activities. They are also going from place to place to help a country's locals. I am happy that there are also other people who are volunteering for this. Maybe I can suggest this to my parents, so that they can actually volunteer. I really love seeing kind-hearted people like you. I hope you will continue doing this good deed.
