Santa's Elves Seen Wearing Scrubs

Did you know that Santa's Helpers wear scrubs occasionally?  The Imaging Department at the Oklahoma Surgical Hospital was busy moonlighting as Santa's Secret Elves this holiday season!  Jill Meek, a very kind and giving lady in the department, contacted me and asked what she could do to help with our Haiti project.  After speaking with her about ways to help, she decided to help us gather gift sacks and set out to find others to join the cause.  The Imaging Department collected 85 gift sacks for us to donate to Haiti, and other individuals donated as well.  With everyone's efforts, we were able to collect 160 gift sacks, multiple packages of hair accessories for the girls, and over 1,000 pieces of candy!  It was an awesome feeling being able to drop off these items, knowing we were spreading holiday cheer to boys and girls across the Atlantic.

But Santa's Helpers didn't stop there.  After collecting the gift sacks, Jill contacted me again to see what else they could do to help this Christmas season.  Instead of doing their normal gift exchange at the company Christmas party, the Imaging Department donated money to pay for the monthly dinner that we provide for the Ronald McDonald House each month.  This generous gesture shows the true spirit of Christmas, and we know the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House were as thankful as we were for the gift.

So a great big "THANK YOU" to Jill Meek, and the entire Imaging Department at the Oklahoma Surgical Hospital, for making a wonderful difference this Christmas season in the hearts and lives of others.  We think Santa's Helpers look good wearing scrubs.....
